And now...the end is near...
No, really, it's not that bad. Just the end of another summer "vacation." I put vacation in quotes, because much of it was spent organizing, cleaning, and trying to get ready for the upcoming months when I know it will be busy.
But, yes, I did relax at points. Last night was a good example - I had to relax because I was stung twice by a yellow jacket, and the ibuprofen and Benadryl knocked me out for a good 12 hours.
I got out to the pool (finally!) I took some long walks around the apartment, and learned where the exercise area was, and how to get to it off hours (such as before or after work hours.) I plan to use this as I continue my new exercise regime (which includes pushups, which I realized this week were some of the toughest - but most effective - ways to get myself in shape.)
I probably won't take another week long vacation for another 6 months, but I may take a day here or there (one of the advantages of having a job with a good vacation policy!) This week has been nice, though. But now it's back to my usual schedule.
