I have been described before as being part Jack Russell Terrier, because I am always on the go, inquisitive and energetic.
I've thought about it some more, and realized that I am more like a Labradoodle - big, fluffy, loud, affectionate and eager to please. I come bounding in, ready to play, wanting to be pet, begging for attention.
I imagine I must be exhausting to some who can't keep up with me, and annoying to others who need to live their lives in neat, tidy, quiet containers of solitude. While I may have moments of meditation, neat, tidy and quiet definitely do not describe me! I will be seen, heard, experienced!
Like any foolish puppy, I may push myself onto someone who doesn't know what to do with me; their attempts to shoo me away only confuse me. But, like me, puppies are resilient; they eventually take their tattered tennis ball and go off in search of someone else, someone who can really know what they want - to play, to be appreciated for all of their vitality.
We are relentless in our search for that playmate; exhausting and relentless. And always ready to play.
